The beaches of the XXI century are to Lagos what the naval center in the XVI and XVII centuries were... a treasure, the crown´s jewel, the most important element in this municipality. Beaches such as Punta de Piedade, Porto de Mos, La Luz, Zalema or Zavial are must sees.

The beaches in Lagos are characterized by their beautiful cliffs, caves, golden sands and their many services offered to tourists.

Travelling around the beaches in Lagos we must not fail to mention Doña Ana beach which is found scaresely 20 minutes walking from the center of the city. It is a golden sand beach surrounded by incredible views, natural resting spots, rocks, cliffs and a multitude of services. This beach, as is Don Camilo beach are ideal beaches for the practice of scubadiving, since we are amongst transparent crystal clear waters.

The most majestic beach in Lagos is the Punta de Piedade beach, a beach in which we find a huge rock formation on the beach, giving it a savage touch. This beach is surrounded by an urban nucleus making it highly visited. It posesses many services offered for tourists.

On the east side of the urban nucleus in Lagos you´ll find Meia beach, and extensive golden sand beach. In it you´ll be able to practice your favorite aquatic sports.

Burgau, Doña Maria or Playa da Luz are other beaches that are also worth mentioning in Lagos. Playa da Luz for example is one of the most visited by tourists in this municipality. It is an extensive golden sand beach with numerous tourist services and commodities.
