Lagos is a city that in earlier times was very important due to the naval station. This brought many people and therefore a large number of religious temples, monuments and palaces were built. Taking a stroll around this area is definately something we recommend.
The fortress ruins, military fort and Saint Anthony Church are places that you must visit. They are definately worth it.
